DIY Hot Chocolate Mix Without Powdered Milk

Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix made without powdered milk! This easy DIY mix makes a rich and creamy mug of hot chocolate and makes a great gift to give loved ones.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup of mini chocolate chips dairy-free or regular
  • A dash of salt
  • 1 cup of your favorite milk- dairy or non-dairy for serving

Instructions

  • To Make The Mix:Sift together the powdered sugar, cocoa, and salt into a bowl. 
  • Add the mini chocolate chips to the cocoa mixture and give a toss until evenly distributed.
  • The mix is now ready to be used or packaged up in cute little jars and given to loved ones.
  • To Make a Cup of Hot chocolate:On the stovetop or in the microwave, heat up 1 cup of your favorite dairy or non-dairy milk. Heat until steaming, not boiling.
  • Scoop 1/4 cup of the mix into your favorite festive mug.
  • Pour the hot milk over the cocoa mixture and mix until smooth. You can do this with a fork, mini whisk, or handheld milk frother.
  • Top with marshmallows and whipped cream and enjoy!
