Ingredients

  • 8 cups of popped popcorn, (see the notes section for stovetop instructions)
  • 10 oz of white melting wafers or white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup of semisweet chocolate chips, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups peanut butter filled pretzel nuggets
  • 1/2 cup of Reese's Pieces
  • 1/2 cup of roasted and lightly salted peanuts

Instructions

  • Pour the popped popcorn into a large bowl and set aside. Line a sheet pan with parchment or wax paper.
  • Pour the white melting wafers into a heat safe bowl, and microwave in 15 second bursts until melted and smooth, stirring often. Once melted, pour the melted candy coating over the popcorn. Stir until the popcorn is evenly coated.
  • Once covered, pour the popcorn onto the prepared sheet pan and spread out into an even, thin layer.
  • While the white chocolate is still wet, sprinkle on the pretzel nuggets, Reese's Pieces and the peanuts. Gently press the toppings onto the popcorn so they'll stick to the white coating. Do this before the coating sets!
  • Drizzle on the melted semisweet chocolate.
  • Refrigerate until the chocolates set, about 15-20 minutes. Then break the chocolate popcorn into chunks and serve!
  • Store any leftovers at room temperature in an airtight container.

Notes

Stovetop Popcorn: Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to a large, heavy bottomed pot. Pour in ⅓ cup popcorn and swirl to coat the kernels in the oil. Cover the pot, place it on the burner over high heat.
Once the popcorn starts popping, gently shake the pot every few seconds to keep the kernels from burning, moving the pan constantly. If you have a gas or electric stove, lift the pot slightly off the burner ever few seconds to prevent burning.
When the popping slows to 1–2 seconds between pops, turn off the heat and continue shaking until the popping stops. Carefully remove the lid and pour the popcorn into a bowl.
Pretzel substitute: 1 cup of mini pretzel twists can be used in place of peanut butter filled pretzels.
