I’m a pro at holiday snack mixes, and it’s about time I made one for St. Patrick’s Day! This one is the best because it won’t have you individually picking out dried little marshmallows from a cereal box. This snack mix for St. Patrick’s Day is a sweet and festive addition to your day, without taking a lot of time!

Over the years I’ve made a holiday snack mix for just about everything. Around here, we’ve got a snack mix for Easter, a Christmas puppy chow, a spooky Halloween chex mix, and even a patriotic snack mix for the 4th of July. They’re always a hit for parties, movie nights, or little surprise treats, and it’s about time I added a St. Patrick’s Day snack mix to the group!

In a sea of green snacks, this festive snack mix stands out for being colorful, crunchy, sweet, and packed with fun ingredients everyone loves picking through. It takes just minutes to make and is perfect for sharing with kids, bringing to school parties, or setting out as one of your St. Patrick’s Day treats for the office.

If you’re looking St. Patrick’s Day snacks, this snack mix is about as simple as it gets.

Why You’ll Love This St. Patrick’s Day Snack Mix

  • No picking marshmallows out of cereal boxes: This recipe won’t have you digging through a box of Lucky Charms trying to collect all the marshmallows. It’s designed to be fast, easy, and cute!
  • No bake recipe: No oven, no melting chocolate, and no complicated steps. Just mix everything together, and you’re done.
  • Easy to customize: Snack mixes are incredibly flexible. If you can’t find one of the ingredients, there are plenty of easy swaps.
  • Perfect for school treats: This colorful mix is perfect for packing into small bags for lunchboxes, class parties, or after-school snacks.

What You’ll Need

You only need a handful of ingredients to make this easy St. Patrick’s Day snack mix.

Bowls of cereal squares, yogurt-covered pretzels, green candy-coated chocolates, and a bag of Lucky Charms marshmallows on a white wooden surface.
  • Golden Grahams cereal: The Golden Grahams make me think of a pot of gold! And they give the mix a lot of flavor. Lucky Charms or Chex cereal works great as a substitute. For Chex, I recommend the honey nut, peanut butter, cinnamon, or chocolate flavors.
  • Lucky Charms Marshmallows: These are not the dried ones out of the cereal box. The Lucky Charms marshmallows used in this recipe are the Jet-puffed ones found in the marshmallow aisle and come in their own bag. They’re bigger and softer like mini marshmallows, and if you can’t find them, you can just use a bag of colorful mini marshmallows instead!

  • Green M&M’s or Green Candies: Check your craft or party store (or online) for single colored M&Ms or green colored candies!
  • White chocolate covered pretzels: You can use milk chocolate, yogurt covered pretzels, or plain pretzel twists if you prefer!

What Else Can You Add to a Snack Mix?

One of the best things about making a snack mix is how easy it is to customize. Once you have a base of cereal, pretzels, and candy, you can mix in all kinds of fun ingredients depending on what you have in your pantry. If you want to change things up, try adding:

  • Popcorn or caramel corn for extra crunch
  • Yogurt-covered raisins, chocolate-covered fruit, or candy coated sunflower seeds.
  • Flavored Cheerios (like honey nut or chocolate)
  • Extra candy like mini peanut butter cups, pieces of andes mints, or green gummy bears.
  • Mini chocolate chip cookies or mini oreos.
  • Nuts like peanuts, almonds, or cashews.

Snack mixes are meant to be flexible, so don’t be afraid to get creative and add your favorite sweet or crunchy treats.
